Mehdi Kazmi, father of Dua Zahra, has filed an appeal against the decision of Sindh High Court in the Supreme Court Registry. The petition states that the Sindh High Court had on June 8, 2022 ordered Dua Zahra to decide on her own accord. Zahra's age is stated to be 17 years. The petitioner said that according to NADRA records and educational credentials, Dua Zahra is 14 years old. There is an error in the decision. An application for an immediate hearing has also been filed by the petitioner. A hearing of the petition is expected next week.
